Processing Room Manager (washing/packing veggies & field work)General Description
This position includes assisting farmers with harvest at the beginning of the workday and managing the washing and preparation of vegetables for CSA shares and Farmers Market. The job requires attention to detail, efficiency, and awareness of the needs of each crop. Early season harvests and processing will be fast and simple but will become increasingly larger and more complex. Early and late season include a wide variety of field work including spreading biodynamic preparations, seeding, transplanting, bed prep, cultivation, field management, greenhouse and cut flower work. Time Frame: May 1st- Oct. 15 Minimum Hours: 24-32/week Starting Pay: $13-$15/hr CSA Share Included Raises are possible based on performance All employees will learn the systems involved in small scale, high yield, organic farming in the Tetons. Workshare Manager & Field AssistantGeneral Description
This position includes leading small groups of workshares on the farm through daily harvests and field/garden maintenance projects. Workshares are CSA members who commit to working 5 hours one morning each week in trade for a share of vegetables and as such are a diverse group. They range from college-age to retirees and bring a wide variety of backgrounds, opinions, and experiences to the farm. The job is to make sure these crews of around 5 individuals stay focused on their tasks, carry out tasks efficiently and correctly, and maintain a positive work environment. When workshares are not present, the workshare manager will work in the field. This work will include harvesting, planting, seeding, cultivating, processing veggies, managing greenhouses, and working with cut flowers.
