Bulk Garlic Now Available

It’s always nice to have loads of garlic handy to mix into pesto, chop into stir-fries and pasta dishes, roast with fall roots, or melt into a pot of stew.

This year we harvested about 2000 healthy heads of Katterman Porcelain and Romanian Red garlic from four 100’ garden beds. We have set aside the very best to plant this fall (to continue to improve our seed stock) but still have loads of high quality seed-grade and culinary garlic available for bulk purchase.

To place your order, visit our online store and select your favorite variety(s) and choose seed or culinary grade. If you live outside the valley, we will ship your garlic to you USPS. If you are local, be sure to select on-farm pickup as well as your preferred pickup date at checkout. If you have to make other arrangements, shoot us an email and we’ll do what we can to work with you.

Our Varieties

  • Romanian Red

Heirloom variety that produces 4-5 large cloves per head. Its flavor is hot and pungent with a healthy, long lasting bite, but sweet with a great depth of flavor when cooked.

  • Katterman Porcelain

A sturdy producer in the harsh Teton climate. Consistently pumping out 4 large cloves per head, this variety shows great resistance to rot and withstands a wide range of climate conditions. Milder than Romanian Red, Katterman is smooth raw and delicious in pesto.

Culinary Garlic and Seed Garlic

  • Culinary - $18/lb

Garlic set aside for culinary use is smaller than seed garlic, but still large. We have read that the smaller cloves have longer shelf life than their seed-grade counterparts. Expect 8 to 10 heads per pound depending on variety.

  • Seed Garlic - $25/lb

Seed garlic refers to the largest, healthiest heads and is used for planting. Its large cloves produce sturdy plants that become increasingly vigorous with each generation. Gardeners should plan on 5-7 heads (20-28 cloves) per pound depending on variety.
